Applications are invited only through online mode for e-District Manager at District for the year 2023 from the eligible candidates in Kancheepuram, Namakkal, Nagapattinam, Perambalur, Trichirapalli, Tiruppur, Vellore and Vilupuram.
Tamil Nadu
e-Governance Agency (TNeGA), functioning
under the Information Technology & Digital Services Department, Government
of Tamil Nadu, is responsible for driving all technology initiatives for the
Government of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu e- Governance Agency (TNeGA) is the State Nodal Agency for
implementing all eGovernance initiatives in the state. A District
e-Governance Society” DeGS headed by the
District Collector/ District Magistrate shall be established in each district
by the District administration and registered under the Societies Act.
eDM’s is being appointed
on behalf of the
DeGS by TNeGA throughout sourcing for carrying out the e-Governance activities of the DeGS / District Administration.

Only
local candidates belonging to the respective District alone are eligible to
apply for the e-District Manager. Must attach Nativity / Residence
Certificate to the satisfaction of the Collector.

5. Examination Process:
The candidates will be tested on the fundamentals of
computer science, engineering and applications by an online examination.
Date of Examination: 24.09.2023 Duration: 90 Minutes
Number of Questions: 100 multiple choice questions.
Wrong answers will carry negative marks of (-1/3rd of the
correct answer)
Venue: Depending upon the number of eligible candidates,
suitable venue shall be arranged at each District.
Syllabus: The Online examination shall have questions from the following areas -

Basic programming in C / C++ / Java

Networking
·
Internet Technologies
·
Hardware
·
Database Management Systems and related areas

Recent Developments in Information Technology
a) Candidates
should apply only through online mode in the TNeGA website
http://www.tnega.tn.gov.in
b) Candidates
should ensure that they have their scanned recent colour passport size
photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20- 60 KB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG
format of size 10-30 KB) separately.
c) The
online application should be uploaded with the photograph and signature of the
candidate with complete information.
d) A
valid e-mail id and Mobile Number are mandatory for registration and e-mail id
should be kept active till the declaration of results
e) All
the particulars mentioned in the online application including name of the
candidate, paper applied, communal category, date of birth, address and all
other fields will be considered as final. Candidates are requested to fill the
online application form with utmost care and caution as no correspondence
regarding change of details will be entertained.
f) Incomplete
or defective applications shall be summarily rejected.
g) The
online application can be submitted up to 11.09.2023 till 06.00 p.m. after
which the link gets disabled.
h) Candidates
are only fully responsible for all the details and documents submitted along
with the application. Candidates have to go through all the instruction
carefully and carefully fill up details and upload document.
i) The
online application without candidate’s photograph and signature and incomplete
information will be rejected.
j) No
representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained
under any circumstances.
a) The
Examination fee is Rs. 250/- for all the candidates. Once the payment is made,
it will not be refunded.
b) Online
payment to be made only through Payment Gateway. (Net banking/Credit Card /
Debit Card)
c) Offline
mode of payment in any form such as Demand Draft / Postal order, etc. will not
be accepted.
The date, time and center for the Written Examination will
be indicated in the Hall Ticket.
The Hall Tickets for the eligible candidates will be
uploaded by the TNeGA in its official website.
The candidates are advised to refer the TNeGA website for
details (http://www.tnega.tn.gov.in). No written communication will be sent to
the candidate.
The decision of the TNeGA on the eligibility of the
candidate to appear for the examination will be final.
The Roll-Number-wise Mark List of all candidates will be published in the website of tnega http://www.tnega.tn.gov.in
10. Centre for Examination:
Examination will be held in all districts. Candidates should appear
for the Examination at their own expenses. The Board reserves the right to increase
or decrease the number of examination centers
and to re-allot the candidates for administrative reasons.
Examination centre will be informed
in the hall ticket.
11. Selection:
A candidate those who are scored high marks and it will be based
on merit basis.
12. Salary
Salary wil be 25000 to 30000 per month (approx)
