Public Works Department - PWD - New Contractors Registration A.NEW REGISTRATION OF WORKS CONTRACTOR: In respect of Class- IV Contractors, the amount of solvency certificate shall be fixed at Rs.10.00 lakhs instead of Rs.7.50 Lakhs In respect of Class- V Contractors, i.e, upto Rs.50.00 lakhs, the solvency percentage proposed to be fixed at 15% of the value for which the contractor submits application for registration. For Example, if a contractor submits application for registration for a value of Rs.20.00 Lakhs under Class-V, the solvency percentage at 15% of the value works out to Rs.3.00 lakhs Registration under Class V is to be specified with monetary limits of Contract value based on the value of solvency produced. The registered Contractors are eligible to take works in the lower classes also. The contractor shall continue to produce a new Solvency Certificate from Revenue authorities.
